Yeah, no jobs, no credit, food and gas shortages, fear and terror. High stress and anxiety and some guy says “I hope so” !! That is absolutely crazy.
I think history will show it as the Great Worldwide Mega Depression of 2009. A lot of people are going to be cold and hungry this winter; and a whole bunch more are going to be homeless and very desperate.
Now is the time for thinking people to unite and do some ‘survival planning’.
One thing that might come out of not throwing good money after bad is: perhaps the government will be able to initiate some public works projects.

I am planning to transfer to pre-law program at NYU or UIUC after 2 years at university of maryland university college here in Korea.
I was wondering how many credits should I get in those two years? Normally, how many credits do you get for a year at college? I have no idea about those college credit thing.
I want to take as many credits as I can to be ‘safe’.

The only way to find out is to contact the school you want to transfer to. Each university/college has different requirements regarding transferable credits. You might have 50 credit hours but some universities only accept certain classes from other colleges/universities. So a university might only accept 40 of them while the neighboring university might accept all of them.
If you go to the university sites or contact them you’ll see what they require as core (first 2 years). Most counselors at these universities have extended hours so they will be able to counsel you over the phone when it’s convenient for you.
If you are going to transfer to start in the fall of this year you better do it right now. If not, take advanced classes on core subjects to be ‘safe’. Like advanced calculus, literature, physics, sociology/psychology, etc… the more advanced you take now the better you are when you transfer/apply for other universities.

so im kinda stuck at a fork in the road and im not sure whether or not i should take AP or dual enrollment for some classes. so im just wondering, do you get different credit hours for each different score you get on an AP test? and hows the calculus BC & bio AP test ?
Each university gets to decide its own policies regarding AP tests.
Each university can decide what the cutoff for granting credit is. For instance, my engineering college only awarded Physics credit if you got a 5 on the AP physics C test. They didn’t give credit for any score on the Physics B test. They gave one semester of computer science credit for a 4 on the AP computer science AB test (which is no longer offered sadface), and two semesters of computer science credit for a 5.
In general, it seems like colleges are more stringent on the subjects within your major (so if you majored in biology, you might need a 5 to get any credit on AP biology, but could probably get away with a 4 on other “less important” subjects).
You can probably find each college’s AP policy on the college’s website.

I’m trying to fix my credit and raise my credit score what are the steps to do that. I read that if you have any debt on your credit report over 2yrs. do not pay it because it lowers your credit score. Is this true.
It’s a pretty easy process…. but it takes a long time. You have to be patient. I would consider cutting up most of your credit cards and then adding everything up and decide which one to pay off first. Then when you’re done with that one, say you paid $50/mo, add it to the next one. So if you were pay $50 on the next one, you would now be paying $100/mo.
And you probably heard wrong about not paying credit cards. You should pay them, but if you haven’t paid them and you are close to the statute of limitations for your state then do not pay. When you reach the SoL you legally do not owe that money any more.
Also, as far as your credit score it will take a while to go up. Even though credit companies are suppose to report every month, sometimes they don’t. or they only report the bad, not the good.
And your credit score is a calculated formula, so if after you pay off most of your debt, but still have many cards open & with balances, your credit (FICO) score may still remain high until your debt to income ratio goes down. So, if your income goes up, your credit score can also have the ability to go up.
I agree with the previous poster….. do not pay for someone to give you advice. If anything go to your local CCCS.
