I paid my Visa credit card payment, the full amount due, at the bank I have my credit card account. I paid with a check from a different bank where I have my checking account. The CC payment was due on the 7th, which fell on a Sunday. I paid on Friday the 5th, in person, the amount due. I have received a $35 late fee from Visa stating that my payment was late because my checking acct. bank didn’t post the payment until Monday the 8th. My checking acct. bank only post transactions from Monday – Friday. This has never happened to me before because I usually pay in cash and forgot about the “hours” my checking account bank does business. Is my payment considered late even though I paid it before it was due? Thank you for any input.
The bank that issued your credit card doesn’t care when you went in to pay it. If they don’t have the money by the due date, it’s late.
The bank where you have your checking account probably has a policy on how long it takes them to post checks, which most likely says that if you pay after a certain time of day, it doesn’t post until the next business day.

So I am in a dilemma. I a junior and I have not had any summer break. I think I am beginning to feel stressed out by working too hard (not sure if that’s the reason or if it’s from having emotional issues lately) and I think I need a summer break. BUT if I don’t take summer courses, then I will end up having to take analytical chemistry lab, physics 113, microbiology intro, and pharmacy class altogether. 18 credit hours for the quarter. I usually take 12 credit hours max in order to do well.

I am not even going to look to see how strong it is. If your sending something on the outside of your thing, the person would not be able to remove it if it is too strong. On the other hand if it is not too strong anyone can remove it. If you want the person your sending it to to get it put it on the inside as the post office cannot be responsible for anything on the outside. No guarantee it may just “fall” off during the trip to the receiver.

I went to a dentist in 2005 didn’t like her so didn’t get work she recommended done. Few months later the amount quoted and then some was in collections. I complained to the insurance co n their main branch office who investigated and concluded in a long detailed letter that I owed nothing I sent the letter to the bureaus they removed it but every year it goes back to collections ruining my credit wasting my time raising my credit card rates. Is it legal for them to keep selling a debt I don’t owe in a very inflated amount to a different collections agency every year? I’m in CA.
So I can pretend someone owes me money when 5 years ago they proved they don’t and each year sell the “debt” to a new agency to make money off it and it’s up to the victim to continue proving their innocence?
Sounds like you’re being charged for the initial consult, not the actual procedure you were quoted. Companies sell debt on a regular basis, that’s how collections work. They buy debts from offices for pennies on the dollar in hopes of getting you to pay a settled or full amount.
If it’s not a valid charge and you’re sure this is the quoted work that was never performed, you can go on your credit report and dispute the validity of the charge.
