I filed for chapter 7 and it was discharged a year ago. One of the creditors which is Countrywide is?
Countrywide home loans is the creditor that is still showing open and I also get a bill every month even thought that this creditor was discharged I have been disputing this for the last 7 months and I’m not getting anywhere(I have notify and dispute the account with them as well as the credit reporting agencies). As a consumer how I’m protected under the fair credit reporting act? what kind of rights do I have ? I know that my credit is less than perfect and it will be like that for the nex 10 years but Countrywide is making this long recovery process a big hassle! Any ideas please let me know.

If it was included, do a search for NACA lawyers in your area. Your rights are willfully being violated by Countrywide and you are entitled to monetary compensation. I’m 18 years old, I have two jobs and I wont be going to school this year. I currently have a checking and savings account with a local credit union and i plan to keep my savings with them but want to go to a bank that I have access to in almost any city because I’ll be going to Tennessee in three weeks and I currently live in Arizona and theres only 2 locations in the state for this bank, I was told that Chase or Wells Fargo is the best choice but I dont know why and I need help deciding!! You need to consider the city, not the state. Neither Chase nor Wells Fargo is anywhere near my Tennessee city.
If you are just going to visit, you just need to consider ATM fees. You don’t have to go to your own bank to get out money. In fact, check with your credit union to see if they cover out of town ATM fees. Some do, so it doesn’t cost you anything to use any ATM anywhere.
As long as you are staying in your current location, keep both savings and checking at the credit union. It makes banking much easier to have one banking home.

Now i bought, activated a regular greendot card yesterday at 5pm, i put 60.oo initiall charge (money on card). I called there activation center and activated it. Tehy said my account had 60.oo on it. I once belonged to a credit union when I worked at a company that had one and I liked them. I no longer work for that company or live in the same city. But lately I am really frustrated with my bank.. mainly because they keep messing up my electronic bill payment times.
I’ve read that credit unions charge fees less often and when they do, the amounts are usually less. When I had a checking acct at the credit union that was all I had – no online bill pay so I can’t compare. I am a student so I don’t need fancy stuff – traveler’s checks, safe deposit boxes. Just free checking, no min balance, cheap/no fee ATM’s
* Do you have to be part of a particular group to join – like employee/student, etc? Or are they open to the public?
* Do they have the same services as banks – online bill pay, ATM/VISA card?

The focus of most capacity building programs is poor and disadvantaged communities. However, the appropriateness of capacity building for these groups, whether located in "developing" or "developed" countries, is always presented as self-evident. In much of the discussion of "how to" build capacity, critical questions regarding the determination of whose capacities are to be built, the methods by which capacity will be built and the consequences for wider relationships of those whose capacity is being built (and presumably for those whose capacity is being left to be built at another time!) are not investigated. A deeper understanding of the meaning, practice and potential of capacity building is required. This book challenges capacity building by critically interrogating its central ideas and practices. But it also considers the ways in which capacity building itself can challenge disadvantage and inequality, by offering a self-determining way forward for communities.
